Bigfoot's Blog

As the saying goes, March is in like a sasquatch and out like a lamb. What I like most about March is that it is the start of gardening season. Not many know that sasquatches have a natural green thumb and it’s not because of the moss growing all around us in our caves. Most sasquatches are great gardeners because we can’t step our big feet into a grocery store. Even if you don’t have a green thumb, Ossipee Library is one of the best places for people and sasquatches interested in growing a garden. The library has free seeds that everyone can use as well as a garden bucket with garden tools and soil. I use it every year! Since I’m a sasquatch I tend to stay away from the programs but the library offers a monthly garden club, too. Ossipee Library is really the one-stop-shop for all things garden related. If you are interested in reading more about how to garden, there is a large selection of magazines and books available for check out. One of my favorites is Gardening in Small Spaces written by the American Horticultural Society. Small gardens are much easier to manage and they can produce lots of yummy vegetables for low or no cost. Stop by the Ossipee Library to check it. Tell the friendly librarians that I sent ya and receive a nifty new book mark! Happy growing season to you! ~ Ossipee Sasquatch.
