Ghosts of Mount Washington

Let's get spooky in May! Join us for Ghosts of Mount Washington, Thursday, May 21st at 4pm.

More than one hundred lives have been lost on Mount Washington — it's no wonder there are stories about ghostly activity there.

Ossipee Public Library will host author Marianne O’Connor, (Haunted Hikes of New Hampshire) who will share stories about some of the memorials and people who died. Some of the memorials have mysterious activities around them, each is a sad tale of loss. Marianne will also discuss The Presence; an occurrence steeped in mystery.

About the Author:

Marianne O’Connor is a retired educator from NH and lives in Maine.

"Haunted Hikes of New Hampshire" was published in 2008 and rereleased in 2019 by Peter Randall Publisher in Portsmouth, NH. Marianne has contributed to publications including New Hampshire Magazine, Hippo Press, Memories of Maine Magazine, and other outlets. She’s appeared in New Hampshire Public Television’s popular series, “Windows to the Wild” with Willem Lange and on WMUR’s “New Hampshire Chronicle.” Since 2010, Marianne has presented programming across New England.
