Bigfoot's Blog

There are many activities to be enjoyed in nature during the summer. It is true that instead of bird watching some people go squatch watching. If you haven’t heard of squatch watching, it is similar to bird watching in that you grab some binoculars, a map, and Audubon field guide, and head out into the woods until you spot something fantastic. I have two squatchy book recommendations. The first is for brave squatch watchers, check out Haunted Hikes by Marianne O’Connor. That book might sound familiar to some people because there is mention of me, the Ossipee Sasquatch. The other book I suggest for summer adventuring is the National Audubon Society field guide to New England by Peter Alden. There is no mention of me in the National Audubon Society field guide to New England which is unfortunate. No guarantees you’ll spot me in the woods but, you may see me lurking at a few upcoming summer reading programs! Stop by the library or check the event calendar for squatchy programs and events. Be sure to let the friendly librarians know that I sent ya!
